The ‘Full Circle’ project, made possible thanks to funding from the UK Community Renewal Fund is providing farmers, producers, suppliers and food retailers with a trio of online platforms to help them chart their journey to sustainability and to provide a matchmaking service that will link hospitality businesses with producers and suppliers who have food produce that would otherwise go to waste.

As well as the digital support we are currently carrying out a detailed mapping exercise, creating an interactive digital map to help us understand for the first time what and where all our food businesses, food banks and food larders are.

The map featured on our website is available for the wider public to use. We want everyone to make conscious decisions about where to buy their food and drink and the interactive map will help people to do this.

The cost-of-living crisis is pushing more and more people into poverty, and we have included food larders, community fridges and food banks to help guide people to low-cost food or a food bank.

We aim to have over 100 businesses from the north of the county signed up. We’ve already had an excellent response, so if you are an organisation that produces, sells, or gives food please get in touch.
